ULTRAJog!

Hi everyone, i just want to share to you a place that i just found out in PASIG. I know that a lot of already know this place. Well for those of you that does not know. This place were i'm featuring right now is  called ULTRA or what is should be call PhilSports

A little bit of history:
The complex is actually the sports field of a defunct school named Saint Martin's Integrated School (Elementary and High School). The school was transferred to First Lady Imelda Marcos during the 70's and the school was reorganized as the University of Life, a vocational school. The actual site was renamed to University of Life TRack and field and Arena (ULTRA) Sports Complex. After Marcos was removed, the University of Life was closed. However the sports facility was transferred to the Philippine Sports Commission in preparation for the 1991 Southeast Asian Games. Several names were applied at the complex. These were The Ultra, PSC-Philippine National Academy of Sports (PSC-PNAS) and PSC Sports Complex. Due to confusion to the public especially in concerts, the commission decided to have a permanent name: PhilSports.
This is brought to us by Wikimapia "Let's describe the whole world!"

A co-worker of mine were actually asking me or me asking her if she know a place were we can jog and get fit. On a Thursday afternoon before going out of the office. she told me that she is planning to go jogging. i said were? Then she told me "sa ULTRA" then i said to her if i could come with her and we'll schedule that on Friday. Then she said that she's OK with that. So it is settled that we were going Friday after office hours. Friday, everything is pack up and ready to jog. Now here is were the problem comes in. We BOTH don't know how to go there. while riding a jeep, we were actually laughing to each other, looking for sign asking siri (hahaha). Good thing is that we have Google Map to guide us. Here are some of the pictures that i took using the Apple Technology (hahaha) iPhone.

The track and field is only a part of ULTRA. It has a soccer field were the Azkal (who wouldn't know them by now) actual held there practice here. unfortunately they were not there that time. They also have a pool were you can swim, well if your are not a fun of running. Then those are your alternatives.

Here is a shot of the sky. Haha, i just want to catch the view while the sun is setting down on the left. hope that everyone likes the photo.

I would say that the place is a little bit old. Looking on the picture that i took, walls are starting to crack and roots are starting to come out of it. However, there are two things that we/me can actually say on this.

1. Mother nature is really really good. Even though we are forgetting Her (nature), she will not stop on reminding us that nothing even a thick WALL can stop those who strives hard in life.

2. How to get there. Here is a picture of the map for you WHO are interested to come by and visit ULTRA

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? COME VISIT ULTRA.
